These are my nemesis

I'm willing to pay someone to come to my house and fold all of the socks in my sock basket. I would say that my husband has about 80 pair. Around 30 pair for each of my 4 children and I probably have around 60. If that doesn't sound like too much to you and if you're willing, please let me know. *Note - You will not be paid a monetary reward. You will simply receive a sincere thank you. That's more than most moms usually get when they do an everyday job like this. So, it seems like a fair reward to me.

I get a strange satisfaction when matching socks. Nothing beats reuniting a lost pair. If I didn't work 50+ hrs a week, plus be a mom I'd be there in an instant.

I think the person who lives closest should help you.

Have fun, Jillene!!

I have a post already set to post on Friday about socks. However, I had the opposite problem as you - I only had 3 1/2 pairs of socks in my sock drawer. I was wishing I had more to fold!!!

I think I'll come help you fold socks like you came and helped me weed my flowerbeds! Ha ha.

Good Luck...you have TOO many socks!

I find that socks are my quickest laundry folding. It helps that I have colored ones - they are so easy to match!

I would come match your socks!!

I also hate socks. Sometimes I just throw them in the stupid drawer and just pick them out two at a time to wear....

Hahaha, I just throw them all into the drawer willy-nilly.

So I had to laugh and say WTF because I seriously just said something about matching my socks in my last blog! Hate hate HATE it. I match Nick's but I just throw mine in my drawer and wear two of whatever I grab.

The only person's socks I match are my own. Kids need the practice anyways.

This would've been a great pay-it-forward. To bad I don't live close enough!:(

None of us I think ever wear matching socks. Our sock basket is one big jumbled mess!

Oh how I hate socks! I hate wearing them, washing them and folding them. Luckily I live in the south and they are not required. J has to fold her own because I am a mean mom.

Hey, Maybe I can bring over all my single socks and whatever single ones you have left we could make pairs! Sound good? Okay I'll coem fold your socks! BUT, I will make sure to do it in such a way you'll never ask again!

Before I had a housekeeper, I always kept the socks in a basket and if anyone wanted a pair of socks, they had to find it themselves!!!
Now that I have a housekeeper, I can NEVER find ANY socks anywhere! She folds them all up, and puts them in whatever drawer she wants! It's like a treasure hunt every day! Don't know which is better..... I'd come match your socks for you, but I'm still about 8000 miles away. :)

I empathize...I have tried to think of a system for socks so I wouldn't have to HATE sock laundry. I have started to match/fold the socks right after I take them off and they go in the hamper already folded up. When I go to do laundry I try to unfold them so they get washed properly and I know that both socks are together in the same load. I end up with less mis-matched socks at the end, and even sometimes get the whole load done with all matching socks! :)

I actually don't mind matching and folding socks. It's the underwear (aka garments)that drives me crazy!
