A little something for the neglected boy

I still haven't gotten around to doing a special post for Peyton's birthday. Sorry sweetie. I'll do it even if it takes me until your next one. Here's a picture at least of the Birthday Boy and the cake I made for him.

The cake is adorable. Great Job mom. I'm sure Peyton understands. He's too happy to care.... if you take too much longer to do his special post, I'll just harass you til it's done!

Happy Birthday Payton!

That is beautiful! That is definitely NOT a cake wreck (have you seen that crazy blog?) It's the opposite of a cake wreck. And all for a sweet boy.

P.S. I tried to follow you, but for some reason it wouldn't let me. I'll keep trying :)

What an amazing cake! I'm not talented in the dept of fondant. I'm all about regular icing from the tub. My husband's birthday is next month and I'm really excited for cake!

Thanks for the compliments. This particular cake is not one of my best. I got a little rushed with it, but it gets the job done. Making cakes is just something that I enjoy doing. I've made a few wedding cakes, but haven't for a couple of years. I'm going to be making one for my cousin who is getting married in December. So, I thought that I would get a little practice with Peyton's birthday cake.

I love the cake! It is awesome. I can only hope that Jordyn's first birthday cake turns out half as cute as that.
