Undecided

I don't know about anyone else, but I am REALLY ready for the Presidential campaigning/election to be over and done with. I was kind of interested when it began in November 2004 right after George W. was reelected. I've felt some love here and there for various candidates/hopefuls. However, nothing so strong that it's caused me to declare my allegiance to any one. When I've cared to pay attention, I've liked some things that have been said. In other words, my interest has had peaks and valleys, but as of late it has flat lined completely.

I don't really like either candidate enough to say that I would vote for them. Yes, John McCain spent 5 years in a POW camp. I feel for him, I admire him, he's proved his mettle as far as endurance goes. Yes, Barack Obama seems like he has new and fresh ideas. I suppose, but are any of them really practical or really that fresh. Plus, I personally don't find him to be that engaging. Also, he can't dance worth a darn. I've never seen John McCain dance, but since he is a frightening 72 years old, he probably doesn't know how anyway. :0) Barack Obama is not old. I think the fact that he's under 50 is why people love him so much. However, it really seems like he has no real experience. John McCain has experience, but I'm not sure I like his record. (That's pretty much all I know about either of them.) I'm tired of the media dissecting every little tidbit of everything. Blah, blah, blah is all I hear and so I usually switch from the political discussions and watch Food Network instead. I'm much happier when I'm uninformed.

So, since I'm not informed enough to choose between the 2 major candidates, I'm going to nominate a new one. I know just about as much about him as the other two and what I do know I like: Cookie Monster because C is for cookie (and Christa) and that's good enough for me.

I do understand and relate to your plight. I also don't have a strong enough feeling to be excited by John McCain but unlike you, I am uncomfortable by what I hear of Barack Obama. Sometimes I feel like it is the lesser of two evils (not that I think either one is evil, I don't). If only we had a real choice this year when it is so important who we elect.

I'm ready for it to be over too. I don't feel you can believe anything that is said in the first place so I quit listening. Wish I had the food network. I just watch sit com re-runs on DVD and call it good.

I already have my mind made up. I just had to pick who I thought would do a better job helping this country get out of it's rut.

It's sure not an easy choice but its a choice never the less. I just wish we had something better to chose from.

Yeah, I still don't know who I'm voting for, and I don't know that I care anymore. I'm just tired.

It's all very frustrating, but I'm going with the safest bet.

I know, makes ya wonder if one of them will really do a better job!
I am so over it! I loved Sarah Palin, but she hasn't done that great in her last few interviews!!

I am with you, I have been having a hard time with who to vote for. I had my mind made up with Mitt Romney, but we all know what happened there. It is going to be interesting to see what happens on the 4th.

I have my mind made up because I really don't agree at all with the way one of the candidates have voted on things in the past.

Cookie Monster is definitely on my list of perfect presidents! I think he would make a great new boss for Devin! :) The kids would love it! And all the cookie companies would make a killing! Think of the possibilities! That would mean more jobs for Americans because they would need more workers making cookies. It would solve the economy's problems, because no one would really care anymore, as long as there were Oreos and milk! Life would be good. I think you've hit the nail on the head!

I just want to be clear that I really don't care for either one. I think that Barack is all smoke and mirrors and I don't find John McCain engaging either. He pretty much looks like he wants to throw up when he's speaking in public.

I don't think that either one is a safe bet. Too me, most politicians are fair weather people, tell you what you want ot hear people. They're both career politicians. I'm pretty sure that they will both have that post election itis that all presidents get. All the big talk from their campaigns will go out the window. We'll probably get more of the same old from McCain and crazy tax programs that won't work from Obama. No politican ever really keeps their promises. I guess all I can do is hope and pray that whoever is elected keeps strong convictions and isn't easily swayed.
