Things that must go

These are two trends that I wish would just DIE!

#1 Thing that must go: Shag haircuts on boys. Especially boys who don't know what it means to wash their hair. Grody. Tyler recently asked if I would let him grow his hair out like this. First, I nearly threw up and second, I had to restrain myself from smacking him for even thinking such a ridiculous thing. It made me feel like a failure as a mother. I know I've taught him better.

#2 Thing that must go: boys in tight girl pants. Enough said about that.
I have plenty of others, but these two will do for now.

I hate both those things as well. Get a haircut and some decent pants. But the pants need to stay up on the waist not down around the knees.

I couldn't stop laughing. Those hair styles were in in the sixties weren't they. And the tight pants, no way. I think they are trying to come back with a lot of the stuff that was awful. That is going to make me laugh all day

AMEN!! I think that if Z did ask me to have that hairstyle--I would smack him--literally.

Oh yes! Especially those tight girl pants. I hate'em on girls and REALLY detest them on boys.
Yuck!

Before the girl pants were really popular, we had a kid in our program wearing them, and we honestly thought that his family was too poor to buy pants for him and were making him wear his sister's pants. That was slightly embarassing.

Not so happy with the emo look are you? Mine are grown, I am not really allowed to have an opinion anymore, but I do make an initial protest the first time they show up with saggy pants or another piercing. Kids...shaking head... they make me feel OLD!

That reminds me...I need to have Eric send me the picture of Darrell wearing my pants at Blake's birthday party! :)

No. I do not care for the Emo look. I'm pretty sure that this is one trend people will look back on and really shake their heads in shame over. It's just too ridiculous. I don't know any girl who thinks to herself, "Mmmmm....I gotta get me some of that" when she sees a guy in the same pants she has on. They're not flattering and let's be honest, they really aren't that flattering on the girls either.
