Avery had her assessment test with her kindergarten teacher this morning. Around here, kindergarten begins a week later than the other grades. Is it that way everywhere? I don't remember it being like that when I was in school. It probably was and I just don't remember. ☺ I was very surprised to find it out when Tyler started. I was all set for him to start on a certain date and had my hopes and dreams crushed. So cruel. Anyway, Avery will actually begin school on September 1st. She's really looking forward to it. Uhh...ME TOO!
She did alright with the test. I'm pretty sure she knows a whole lot more then she let on. She kind of teased a little bit and acted coy. Stinker! Cameron did the same thing at his test and by the end of the year, he was reading at a third grade level. I'm not worried about Avery.

Last night, while in the bathtub, Peyton discovered something that has changed his life forever. He stood up, peed in the water and then said in a surprised and extremely delighted voice, "Oh! A toilet!"
Just thought you'd like to know.

What's on the menu today: Chicken Pot Pie. I really like this one and highly recommend it.

So who is her teacher and did she get morning or afternoon?
Just wait until he discovers he can pee outside!!
Mrs. McAffee and she's in the am.
I actually have an uncle who potty trained his boys by taking them outside to pee. They called it "making mud" and would say when they had to go "I need to go make some mud."
I didn't even know kids had a special kindergarten thing.
Yep, kindergarten starts later here too. Bummer.
The pee story is hilarious AND gross. Kids.
You are really going to like Mrs. McAffee. She is an AMAZING teacher. I was really pleased with her!!
My kids do the coy/shy thing when they're being tested, too. I wonder if the tester people take that into consideration, or if they just think the parents of these children are morons? My kids' teachers must think the latter. Although, you're lucky. After my kids act coy/shy, then they get hyper and start beating people up.
Emily - hahahaha! ☺
