I'm just fine (178)
My appointment with the cardiologist went well. He couldn't see or hear anything clinically wrong. Well, he heard the murmur that I've always had and always will. He said that the location in my heart where the electrical impulses are generated is different than a normal heart. Something about it being in the bottom of the right atrium instead of at the top. It's amazing that doctors can hear that and determine the location of the sound through a stethoscope. He said my heart obviously works just fine, enough said. Nothing to worry about. He said I look healthy which I found funny because I think I look terrible most of the time. I have to go back for an echo cardiogram on Sep. 22 and then a follow up appointment with him on Oct. 1. He'll assess the echo then. I've mentioned before that I have some minor leakage on a couple of valves. He will be able to see how bad it is with the echo. He did say that I should be doing regular cardio exercise. Phooey. I will try to stop being so lazy. I don't know how often he will want me to come back after all of this is done. I'm hoping that I'll only have to go every few years. He seemed to think that the problem was well taken care of originally and I shouldn't be too worried about the future.

Holy crap! I'm glad he's not too worried. But still- valve leakage?! Wow. I hope you feel better.
How much exercise can you do?
I am glad that everything went well. The news is great and hopefully the leakage is minor and will not require surgery.
I know how it pained you to go but I am really glad that you did. Now maybe Ryan will leave you alone for a little while (doubt it)!
Oh good. I'm glad that you'll be around for a long time! If you ever want to go for a walk, let me know...and then we can eat a cupcake after!
So glad things looked good. Glad you went and can rest easy for awhile now and you can be worry-free for a bit.
