What to do? (169)

Cameron is very picky when it comes to food. So, I'm not exactly sure how Monday is going to go down. I'm pretty sure that he won't eat school lunch. I'm also pretty sure that he won't want what we can pack in a lunch either. He still only eats bread in it's toasted form and even then it's only cinnamon toast. So, that counts out all forms of sandwiches. Not just because of the bread, but because he doesn't like peanut butter, jam, mayo, mustard, pickles, lettuce, tomatoes or any kind of lunch meats. He hates pretty much all soups. So, I couldn't put some in a thermos for him. I guess he does like all of the side accoutrement's that we would be able to pack. Like chips, string cheese, fruit snacks, Capri Sun, cookies, etc. There's just no "main" course I can think of that he will eat. He loves macaroni and cheese, chicken nuggets, fries and ramen noodles. Perhaps, I can convince him that we could cook those things prior and then pack them in his lunch. No, he usually hates leftovers too and he would consider those things to be on the level of a leftover. He prefers fresh. (He inherited that from his dad. Thanks a lot dad.) I hope we can figure something out so he doesn't starve.

Ummm...what a conundrum. I guess on the days that the school has chicken nuggets you are set but for the rest of the days...I don't know what to tell you! Good Luck!

I love Chicken Nuggets. That's hard.

Hmmm, this is a fun challenge. What to feed a kid that won't eat anything. Broccoli. Fill his lunchbox up with broccoli. Every. Day. Make sure it is raw. Maybe even some cauliflower. You could add carrot sticks and some sort of dipping sauce and plain bread. Mmm, delicious. After a while, a peanut butter and jelly sandwich will look more delicious than Skittles (and not those nasty chocolate ones that Kristina bought).

I can relate not at all since my kids never got enough to eat when they were littles and it is all I can do to keep them from eating out of the garbage. Yum.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

On the chicken nugget thing. Could you try the nuggets in the lunchables? If they were accepted by him then maybe you could come up with a way to make your own lunchables. Could you pack a thermos of hot water and he could make easy mac or ramen noodles when it was lunch time? Then they would be fresh? I so understand as I'm one of the worlds pickiest eaters. Never ate a school lunch in the 12 years of school.

I don't know who Holly is, but she stold me idea. Lunchables. They now have Pizza, Nuggets, Nachos. Heck, I'm sure there is something there he will like. Hmmm. other than that, I'm perplexed. I don't know how you have the patience for these things. I'd blow my top off if I had to figure such things out.
