Dinosaurs

Peyton has fallen in love. Our pediatrician gave him a book called "How Do Dinosaurs Play With Their Friends?" at his 21 month check-up. He's been hooked on the creatures ever since. I love the way he says "dinosaurs" and I try to get him to say it all the time. He says it with that lisp little kids have and nods his head up and down. It's really quite cute.

The book is hilarious. There's a whole series of them, in fact. I decided to get a couple for his birthday. (It's on the 27th of this month.) I found this one and and another one at Barnes & Noble yesterday. I sat with Avery and Peyton reading them and laughing my head off for a good 10 minutes. Avery laughed some, but mostly the two of them wondered what was so funny and why I was so crazy. It's just I know exactly what the naughty dinosaurs are like because I see it everyday. And, yes, I'm easily entertained by a children's book. You would be too if you read them.

What's on the menu today: Chicken & Rice a-la Tina Banks. Except, I actually make it like her Pork Chops & Rice recipe. Well, sort of like it.

Peyton is sooooooo cute. I love it when he says Dora too. And I especially love it when he was wanting his Dora book and he was going, "DDDDD Dora. DDDDD Dora."

Since I don't have little kids anymore, I've never heard of them. But me being the weirdie I am, I'm thinking about grandkids so I'll have to find them. Peyton is a cutie! Oh, and I'm working on those cupcake toppers today. :)

Ethan used to be obsessed with dinosaurs so we ended up with tons of dinosaur stuff but I don't think I've seen those books yet. I'll have to check them out, they sound cute!

So Peyton will be 3 on the 27th? Andrew will be 3 on the 29th! I think I should try to find these books, since Andrew is my literal book worm and loves dinosaurs! (He tells me that a dinosaur lives in the banana tree in our backyard and eats monkeys. I suppose a banana tree is a sensible place for a monkey-eating dinosaur to live...)

By the way, I think my favorite thing about that link to the book on Amazon is how much they're trying to sell used copies of this book. Ha!! Hardcover used--starting at $1173.17 Do they seriously think people will spend that for a BOOK?????? When you can buy it BRAND NEW for $12?????? Seriously, folks...
