And so it begins...
Our stake has been selected to enter a float in the Pioneer Day Kids Parade. Our ward is part of the construction committee and me being the Primary President I'm "lucky" enough to be working on it. Two other wards designed it and now we have to make the dream a reality. I'm not really being sarcastic about it. I know that it will be fun, just a lot of work. Essentially, we will be working every Tuesday and Saturday and any extra days needed, up until July 18th. The parade is on the 19th. I went today with the Stake Primary President and the Primary President from the Oxford Ward to Modern Display. Modern Display is the only store in the valley that sells float making materials. You would think in a place where we have a big parade every summer, that there would be more places to buy the materials. Nope. Modern Display is it. We picked out the colors, bought the letters and the glitter to decorate them, and all the other bits and bobs. Hopefully it will all turn out well.

There should be no worries because you are SOOOO creative! The float will look amazing when it is done. I am really glad that I signed up to help and I look forward to putting in some service hours!
This sounds very fun for you. I know you will do a great job. If I am around and not doing baseball I will help were I can.
We will try to come as often as we can. THANK YOU for your willingness to take on a project so huge!
