In house slumber party

Lately, Tyler & Cameron have been wanting to sleep in the same room. Not just the same room, but in the same twin bed. It's pretty funny to see them crammed on there like sardines in a can. There's no room for movement. I let them do it a couple of times during the school year, but they would both wake up so ornery I had to put an end to it. They stay up late talking and playing Cameron's Gameboy.

I let them give it a try again this week. It hasn't been pretty. By about noon they are both ready for a nap. I guess it's ok if they don't get much sleep because they don't have to get up for school in the morning. I keep waiting for them to get sick of it, but it hasn't happened yet. They've also been asking if they can move into the same room again. No way. They would kill each other. There are days when they can't even be around each other for 5 minutes without their hands ending up around each other's throats. They would end up throwing each other through the walls if they were living together in the same room.

Hannah sleeps downstairs in Zachary's room EVERY night. He won't let her on his bed--that's his one rule. Apparently it is MUCH better to sleep on Zach's hard, messy floor than in her nice, comfy bed.

It is funny that they want to sleep in the same bed. Maybe night time is the only time they can not be in war mode with each other. Kids are funny!!

Sounds like my house. Except they do it every day of the year!! But they don't ever seem to be too tired. My rule is if they aren't asleep quickly, they don't get to do it again. I always joke that it's a big slumber party at my house every night!! These are times they will remember when they get older!!

My boys do the same thing. When we moved in they had the chance to be in their own rooms and not one day have they slept in different rooms. I think it is a comfort thing they feel safe together.
