Avery and the no opening of the bedroom door rule
For some reason, Avery will not open up her bedroom door herself after she has been sleeping. After a nap or when she wakes up in the morning. I have no idea why she does this. She will wait and wait and wait and wait until someone comes to retrieve her. I've asked her why she just doesn't get up, open the door and come upstairs to tell me she's awake. She sort of smiles and giggles when I say this. As if a princess would do something like that for herself. She still has to wear Pull Ups to bed at night because of this. I know she won't get up use the bathroom. Especially since she won't even do it in the afternoons when she's supposed to be taking a nap. Refer to "Avery's going problem." Today I left her in her room until around 9:40. I knew she was awake for quite a long time. So, I purposefully made a lot of noise hoping it would entice her to come out. Silly me. It's never worked the 150 times I've done it before. Why should I think that it would today.
